The Charlotte Hotel - Frequently Asked Questions
The structure was built in 1907 as the Thomas White Hotel, one of three hotels in existence in Onancock at the time. After that, it became Taylor’s Drug Store for about 30 years, served as the YMCA, the Rock Church, Social Services, an antique store, and several hair salons. The upstairs 2 floors were apartments until Charlotte & Gary Cochran purchased the property in 2002 and made it into The Charlotte Hotel & Restaurant. The hotel was bought by the current owner in August 2023.
